Elementary Schools Celebrate Fire Prevention Month

Bell Top Fire Safety Elementary schools in the East Greenbush Central School District celebrated National Fire Prevention Month in October as a way to teach students important lessons about fire safety.

Local fire departments visited schools over the past two weeks to discuss smoke detectors; 911; stop, drop and roll; and what to do in the case of a fire. Students also toured fire trucks during the visits and asked the firefighters questions.
