Fifth grade students walked across a stage in the Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School gym on Thursday to receive graduation certificates. The celebratory event signified the end of elementary school and a new beginning as the students will attend sixth grade at Howard L. Goff Middle School in the fall.
Principal Jack Alvey led the ceremony, and along with fifth grade teachers Mrs. Susan D’Amico and Mrs. Jennifer Reddy, congratulated the students on completing elementary school.
Following the ceremony, students and families enjoyed refreshments.
