School Budget Vote and Board Election - May 21

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a school budget for 2024-25 that maintains all programs and services with a 0.55% tax levy increase, which is within the NYS Property Tax Cap. Residents will also vote on a $116 million capital project that would improve school facilities and grounds across the district with no impact to local taxpayers, the replacement of eight school buses, which if approved by voters, will be fully paid for by the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund, and elect three individuals to the Board of Education.

Date: Saturday, November 4, 2023

Musical Option: We are offering the opportunity to purchase tickets to see “MJ” at 2 p.m. at the Neil Simon Theatre at 250 West 52nd Street. He is one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Now, Michael Jackson’s unique and unparalleled artistry has finally arrived on Broadway in a brand-new musical. Centered around the making of his 1992 Dangerous Tour, “MJ” goes beyond the singular moves and signature sound of the star, offering a rare look at the creative mind and collaborative spirit that catapulted Jackson into legendary status. The score of “MJ” features classic hits like “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” and “Thriller,” known even by those who aren’t closely familiar with Michael Jackson’s hits. But it also includes some of the oldest jams from The Jackson 5 era. The show’s orchestrations fully reflect Jackson’s own eclectic taste, ranging from pop to R&B to rock. The show is a passion-fueled swirl of melody, dance, design, and style, a love letter to the artist—and the dancers and backup singers who made it all possible.
