The East Greenbush Central School District won a statewide award on Friday from the New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) through its 44th annual awards contest.
The award was given for “Excellence in Writing” for the story Reading is On the Menu at DPS Book Tasting. The story showed off a fun and creative way in which students at Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School were being exposed to different books by transforming the library into a restaurant with a literary tasting menu.
NYSPRA is a state chapter of the National School Public Relations Association. It is dedicated to the development and dissemination of educational communications that engage parents, staff, community residents, partners in education and other stakeholders.
