East Greenbush CSD Announces Half Days for June 23-24

In anticipation of extreme heat this week and its impact on health and safety in schools, the East Greenbush Central School District will have half days for grades PK-8 on Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24. The current weather forecast shows temperatures in the mid-90s and a heat index reaching 105 degrees.

Columbia Business Department Named NYS Business Department of the Year

The Columbia Business Department faculty (L to R – Donna Shepardson, Katrina Gruet and Stephanie Ferlazzo) accept the Business Department of the Year award from the Business Teachers’ Association of New York State.

The Columbia High School Business Department was awarded Business Department of the Year earlier this fall at the Century House in Albany. This award was presented by the Business Teachers’ Association of New York State.

The Columbia Business Department offers a variety of academic and enrichment programs for students. This includes three business pathways and technical endorsements (Business Administration, Computer Applications for Business, and Accounting/Finance), the student club Future Business Leaders of America, and the opportunity to join the Business and Marketing Honor Society.
