A group of students from Kelyn Snyder’s 7th Grade Social Studies class visited Green Meadow on November 17 to present projects on European explorers to 4th grade classes. Each of the Goff students presented their research projects from the front of the classrooms and explained all that they had learned about their chosen explorer. They also answered questions from the 4th graders.
The research projects focused on European explorers such as Henry Hudson, Giovanni da Verrazzano, Samuel De Champlain and Ferdinand Magellan.
“I enjoy this collaboration because the 7th graders get to see how much they’ve learned and accomplished when they visit the elementary school,” Mrs. Snyder said. “There’s a sense of self-pride and maturity from the Goff students when we visit. We also hope to give elementary schoolers a glimpse into what they will be able to do at Goff and get excited about their future academic successes.”
The following 7th grade students participated in the field trip:
- Jeffrey Gildart
- Silvie Mangione
- Natalie Mormando
- Alaina Randall
- Margauret Rapirap
- Madelyn Tedesco
- Lydia Zarek
