Green Meadow Kindergarten Students Celebrate Chinese New Year

Green Meadow kindergarten students learned about Chinese culture and traditions as they celebrated the Chinese New Year last week. Students wore dragon hats, held lanterns and played paper tambourines that they made in school. They also tasted Chinese foods and walked in a parade through the hallways chanting “Gung Hay Fat Choy!” which means Happy New Year.

The activities were part of their culture unit in Social Studies.
