Columbia High School students learned how to dust for and examine fingerprints during their Forensics class recently. The activity was part of the Fingerprint unit and led by licensed fingerprint examiners Douglas Shaffer and Jessica Zinssar from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
“The students had a great time dusting for latent prints and even got to take their lifted prints home with them,” said Columbia Science Teacher Greg Tarkos.
