Columbia Math Teachers and students celebrated mathematics this week with special activities, contests and a fun video, all in honor of Pi, which is recognized each year on March 14.
Winners from Columbia High School’s Annual Pi Day Recitation Contest
- 1st place – Alex Saddlemire ’26 – 105 digits
($25 gift card to Amazon, gum, pi pencil, and Table Talk pie) - 2nd place – Pierce Dalton ’25 – 91 digits
($15 gift card to Panera, gum, pi pencil, and Table Talk pie) - 3rd place – Holly Thorpe ’26 – 71 digits
($10 gift card to Starbucks, gum, pi pencil, and Table Talk pie)
