Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Thursday, March 21 – 1:40 p.m.

The power has been restored at Goff Middle School. The school will be open for a regular school day on Friday, March 22.

Thursday, March 21 – 10:10 a.m.

The power is still out at Goff Middle School and the Transportation Center. Based on our conversations with National Grid and the outage’s impact on school operations including lunch service, Goff students will be dismissed today at 10:40 a.m. Students will be transported home by school bus to their emergency dismissal locations.

According to National Grid, a tree fell on power lines on Hays Road which led to the power outage. National Grid is working on it and hopes to have power restored within the hour. The district continues to monitor the situation and will send updates as new information becomes available.

Thursday, March 21 – 9:25 a.m.

Howard L. Goff Middle School and the Transportation Department are currently without power. The school district is evaluating the situation and contacting National Grid.

The district is considering the potential for an early dismissal of Goff Middle School today if the power cannot be restored. If the power is not restored by 10:00 a.m., Goff will have an early dismissal and send students home. ​Parents/guardians will be notified ​if that decision is made.

The Family and Consumer Science field trip for today has been canceled and those students have remained at Goff.

Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
