Special transportation requests for next school year, including to private schools and daycare or alternate locations, are due to the Transportation Department by April 1, 2026 (original documents must be submitted).

In a show of solidarity, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kurtis Kotes got behind the wheel of a full-size yellow school bus on Tuesday morning and successfully completed his first official school bus route. Dr. Kotes recently earned his CDL Class B license as a way to boost morale and demonstrate his deep respect for the district’s Transportation Department.
Craig Lipps is the new Supervisor of Transportation for the East Greenbush CSD. In his new role he will oversee the entire transportation department ensuring the efficiency and safety of transporting students.
The East Greenbush Central School District is hosting a Test Drive Your Future event on Saturday, November 15 where you can test drive a school bus, talk with current drivers, and see if becoming a school bus driver is right for you!
In an effort to improve school bus safety, the East Greenbush Central School District added Stop Arm Cameras to its entire fleet of buses in Spring 2023. Since that time, more than 3,300 tickets have been issued to motorists for illegally passing school buses, an average of 111 tickets per month.
