Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Students holding Bus Driver Appreciation signs

Green Meadow Student Council welcomed bus drivers to school on Wednesday, March 20 and hosted them at a special breakfast.

School bus drivers received a warm welcome on March 20 when they arrived at Green Meadow Elementary School to drop off students. Waiting for them on the sidewalk was the Student Council, holding a large banner that said “Thank You Bus Drivers” and other colorful signs. The students waved to the drivers and jumped up and down while music played from a portable speaker.

Once students disembarked from the buses, the drivers entered school and enjoyed a special breakfast with the students. The spread included bagels, pastries, cakes, cookies and coffee, as well as handwritten thank you cards from the students.

“We are so appreciative of our bus drivers for what they do every day for our students,” said Green Meadow Student Council Co-Advisor John Flanagan. “It’s our pleasure to honor these important members of our Green Meadow community.”

Special thanks to the Student Council students who made the posters and cards, and their parents who provided the breakfast!
