Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Free Active Parenting Workshop for Parents of Children Ages 5-12
Parents of children ages 5-12 are invited to attend a series of free Active Parenting Workshops in March and April that will offer guidance in the areas of respectful discipline, skills for clear and honest communication, concrete strategies to prevent risky behavior and how to be an encouraging parent.
New Respiratory Virus Guidance Removes 5-Day Isolation Period for COVID
The CDC has released new Respiratory Virus Guidance that utilizes a unified approach to addressing risks from a range of common respiratory viral illnesses, such as COVID-19, flu and RSV. As part of this updated guidance, the five-day isolation period has been removed for individuals infected with COVID. Instead, the CDC recommends that people stay home and away from others when they are sick with a respiratory virus.
Goff Science Olympiad Places 2nd at Regional Championships, Advances to NYS Finals
The Goff Science Olympiad team placed 2nd in the Capital District at the Regional Competition last month, qualifying for the New York State Finals on April 5-6. Goff earned 44 medals overall, including 11 Gold, 4 Silver, 9 Bronze, and 20 4th-6th out of 20 events....
DPS Students Learn About Native American History
Fourth grade students at Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School were able to see and touch Native American artifacts from the NYS Museum collection during an activity in the school library last month.
Goff Drama Club Presents ‘Peter Pan Jr.’ – March 15 and 16
The Goff Drama Club will be performing Peter Pan JR. on Friday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 16 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and cost $10/adults and $8/students/seniors.

Special transportation requests for next school year, including to private schools and daycare or alternate locations, are due to the Transportation Department by April 1, 2024.
