Green Meadow kindergarten students wore dragon hats and played paper tambourines as they paraded through the halls on Friday chanting “Gung Hay Fat Choy,” meaning, “Happy New Year,” in Chinese.
Earlier in February, fourth grader Ada Wu gave a presentation about the Chinese New Year to all of the fourth grade classes. She discussed the birth of the Chinese New Year celebration while students tasted traditional Chinese food and watched videos about Chinese art and dance.
