Columbia High School students visited their pen pals at Red Mill Elementary School on December 23. It was the first face-to-face meeting for the students who have written letters back and forth the past two months.

The high school students met with first, third and fourth graders. While together, they shared breakfast, built gingerbread houses, made ornaments and watched “The Polar Express.”

“We had such a great time and hope to have the younger students visit us at Columbia sometime in the spring,” said Columbia English teacher Meagan Asenbauer.
