COVID-19 Updates and Information

Grades 3-5 will return for full time in-person learning starting Monday, April 26, which will fully reopen all elementary schools. The K-12 Full Remote program will still be available to families who choose that option. Due to state regulations, Columbia and Goff will remain in the Hybrid Model at this time. The East Greenbush CSD will continue to evaluate options for Columbia and Goff students to receive increased in-person learning at 6 feet social distancing where possible.

The East Greenbush Central School District will not be offering Modified sports this fall due to limited student interest and limited school participation from other Suburban Council schools. As of this morning, there were not enough Goff Middle School students signed up for Modified sports to field teams. Additionally, only a few Suburban Council schools committed to playing Modified sports, which would not allow for a schedule of games.

As a replacement, the Columbia Athletic Department is organizing skill development sessions for sports that received some student athlete signups including Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Soccer and Field Hockey. More information about these skill development sessions, as well as a schedule, will be shared with families next week.
