PK-5 Half Day - Thursday, March 23

There will be a half day for students in grades PK-5 on Thursday, March 23 due to parent conferences. Dismissal times: Pre-K (DPS/Genet/Red Mill) at 10:45 a.m., Genet at 11:15 a.m., Bell Top at 11:30 a.m., DPS at 11:30 a.m., Green Meadow at 11:30 a.m. and Red Mill at 11:30 a.m. Pre-K students at the Early Childhood Education Center will have a full day of school on March 23.

Columbia Boys’ Volleyball Wins Division 1 Regional Championship, Advances to State Tournament

Columbia Boys Volleyball Regional ChampionsThe Columbia Boys’ Volleyball team defeated Clarkstown North High School 3-0 on Friday evening to win the Division 1 Regional Championship. Carter Durivage led the team with 13 kills, 5 aces and 2 blocks. Henry Heeps added 11 kills and 1 ace. Gabe Tucker was a force in the middle with 9 kills, 2.5 blocks and 1 ace. Jeremy Garrigan had 36 assists and 1 ace. Justin Sapienza and Dylan Pierce controlled the back row with 10 and 9 digs, respectively.

The Blue Devils are now 20-1 on the season and will continue postseason play Saturday at the NYSPHSAA Boys’ Volleyball Championships, which will be held at the Albany Capital Center.
