Genet fourth grader Jacob Plonka brought Christmas joy to residents at Teresian House, a nursing home in Albany, on Monday when he delivered 300 Christmas cards to them. Jacob made cards and also enlisted the help of classmates at Genet as well as some students from Red Mill Elementary School.

“What a wonderful act Jacob has done,” said Frank Yeboah, administrator of Teresian House. “He brightened the lives of all of our elderly residents. His parents should be incredibly proud. What a great young man.”

Jacob completed a similar service project last winter when he brought holiday cards to patients at St. Peter’s Hospital.
