The East Greenbush Central School District is now enrolling kindergarten students for the 2024-25 school year. To be eligible for kindergarten in September 2024, your child must turn five years old by December 1, 2024.

Kindergarten registration packets will be mailed to all eligible families in the district database during January 2024. If your child is not currently in the district database, please call the school your child will attend to have the registration packet mailed to you. The packet will provide you with a list of all the documents you need to bring as well as all the forms you need to fill out prior to registration.

All students who reside in the East Greenbush Central School District who are going to attend kindergarten need to register with the district. This includes students registered to receive special education services and students attending private, parochial or special placement schools. If your child is attending one of these schools and not an EGCSD school, you may contact the Registrar for your information.

Parents are encouraged to register kindergarten students during the dates/times listed below at their home school.

2024-25 Registration Schedule

If school is closed on any of the registration dates, kindergarten registration will be rescheduled. If school is delayed on any of the registration dates, the morning session may be rescheduled if needed, but the evening session will resume as scheduled. Please check www.egcsd.org for school closing information.

Once your child is registered for kindergarten, a screening will be scheduled for your child at their elementary school (by appointment) in the spring. You will receive notice of that in the mail once you have completed the registration process.
