Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Parade Honoring Columbia Girls’ Bowling Team Set for March 27
The state champion Columbia High School Girls’ Bowling team will be honored at a parade on Wednesday, March 27 starting at the East Greenbush Bowling Center and ending at Howard L. Goff Middle School. The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
Next Board of Education Meeting – March 27
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Red Mill Elementary School gymnasium.
Multicultural & Tolerance Fair – April 11
Columbia High School will host its annual Multicultural and Tolerance Fair on Thursday, April 11 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The event features food, music, demonstrations and student work.
Goff Student Council Donates 75 Easter Baskets and 1,000 Easter Eggs to Children’s Organizations
Goff Student Council completed its 4th annual Easter Service Project this month. The students made 75 Easter baskets and filled 1,000 Easter eggs, which will be donated to SideWalk Warriors of Troy and the South End Children’s Cafe.

Columbia High School sophomore Addison Brannock ’26 won The Albany Center Gallery Membership Award at the opening reception of the 25th annual High School Regional Art Exhibition on March 14. Congratulations!
Goff Closing at 10:40 a.m. Due to Power Outage – March 21
The power is still out at Goff Middle School and the Transportation Center. Based on our conversations with National Grid and the outage’s impact on school operations including lunch service, Goff students will be dismissed today at 10:40 a.m. Students will be transported home by school bus to their emergency dismissal locations.
