Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Columbia Clay Target Team Enjoys Successful Season
The Columbia Clay Target Team recently completed its third season and had many highlights. The team competed in two tournaments outside the regular season including the Rensselaer County School Trap Championship and the Foothills Challenge.
DPS In Full Bloom
Flowers are in full bloom outside Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School – and they are not your average tulips or daffodils. They are large, wooden flowers that students painted using different colors and designs in art class.
Five Columbia Artists Featured in ‘Win, Place Show’ Exhibit
Five Columbia High School students from Ms. Andrea Neiman’s Studio Art classes had their equine-themed pastel drawings on display at Win, Place, Show: The Student Art Show at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs last month. Congratulations!
A Banner Year for the Blue Devils
It was a banner year for Columbia Athletics as the Blue Devils succeeded in a variety of sports winning Section 2 Championships, advancing through state tournaments and establishing new opportunities for students to compete.
Goff Announces Summer Reading Assignment
Incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders will choose at least one book to read this summer. When students return to school in the fall, they will complete an assignment on this book for English class.
