The Food Services Department catered lunch for the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council meeting, which included bodacious broccoli salad, elbow macaroni salad and vegetable pasta salad.

Kids are notoriously picky eaters, so the Food Services Department was happy to see students at the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council meeting earlier this month enjoy three salads during their lunch break – bodacious broccoli salad, elbow macaroni salad and vegetable pasta salad.

The students were encouraged to try each of the fresh salads, which are new to the school lunch lines, and many were surprised that they were really good.

“We are regularly expanding the menu selection to show students that healthy choices can be attractive, tasty and fun to try,” said Food Service Manager Phyllis Sanford-Krug.
