MySchoolBucks logoParents who use the online payment system MySchoolBucks to manage their child’s meal accounts will soon see an increase in the vendor’s transaction fee.

Effective December 11, the fee for electronically adding funds to a child’s meal account will increase from $1.95 to $2.49 per transaction. The change, which is the first increase in 16 years, is a result of increasing credit card processing fees, according to MySchoolBucks.

Please note that MySchoolBucks manages transaction fees and East Greenbush CSD receives no part of the fee. Parents who would like to avoid the transaction fee can still pay by check and make it payable to “EGCSD Lunch Fund.” Students should give checks to the cashier in the lunch line.
