School Budget Vote and Board Election - May 21

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a school budget for 2024-25 that maintains all programs and services with a 0.55% tax levy increase, which is within the NYS Property Tax Cap. Residents will also vote on a $116 million capital project that would improve school facilities and grounds across the district with no impact to local taxpayers, the replacement of eight school buses, which if approved by voters, will be fully paid for by the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund, and elect three individuals to the Board of Education.

Tuesday, January 16 – 1:44 p.m.

The Route 4 Corridor Study Public Meeting, which was scheduled for tonight at Columbia High School, has been postponed due to the weather. That event was being sponsored by the Town of East Greenbush and the Town of North Greenbush, in partnership with the Capital Region Transportation Council. The new date will be shared when it is available.

Tuesday, January 16 – 9:29 a.m.

The Genet Grade 4/5 Concert has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Genet Auditorium.

The Goff Middle School and Elementary School cafeteria lunch menus have been changed for Wednesday, January 17 due to today’s snow day. Those schools will be serving Hot Dog, Baked Beans, Fresh Fruit and Milk for lunch on Wednesday.

All schools and district offices in the East Greenbush CSD will be closed Tuesday, January 16 due to the weather forecast. This will be a traditional snow day with no remote learning.

All after school activities are canceled, including athletic games and practices. The Genet Grade 4/5 Concert and the Green Meadow PTO Meeting are postponed.
