All students are required to have a physical exam when entering the following grades: Kindergarten, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and all new students to the school district. Additionally, students participating in interscholastic sports must have a physical exam annually.
Physical exams may be done by your physician or at school. We may accept a physical that was done within the last 12 months of the student entering. If you have a school physical, you will be notified of any problems noted during the school health assessment.
In addition to physical exams, school nurses perform state-mandated health screenings throughout the school year including:
- Vision
- Hearing
- Scoliosis
- Mandated Reporting
