Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Injuries

Any student who sustains a sports-related injury and which requires medical care, will need to provide a medical release from their physician stating that the student may return to participation in physical education classes and/or sports.

Any student who is injured in school and seeks medical care will also be required to provide a medical release so that the student may return to full participation in physical education classes and/or sports.

Even if the physician does not restrict the student from any activities, documentation from the physician will still be required stating that the student may return to all activities.

Any student that sustains a concussion must be cleared by their private physician AND by the school medical director before returning to play as per the East Greenbush Central School District Concussion Policy.
