Students interested in trying out for a fall sport can register online through FamilyID this summer. Registration for Varsity and JV Football opens on Monday, July 22. All other Varsity, JV, and Freshman fall sports registration will open on Monday, July 29 and Modified sports registration will open on Monday, August 5.
Tryouts for fall sports begin in August.
FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our interscholastic athletic programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile. You enter your information once for each family member for multiple uses and multiple programs.
How to Register for a Fall Sport
- If you already have a FamilyID account:
- Visit https://www.familyid.
com/east-greenbush-central- school-district-athletics - Log into FamilyID
- Go to Programs
- Select the program for which you would like to register
- Register
- Visit https://www.familyid.
- If you need to create a FamilyID account:
- A parent/guardian should register their child by clicking on this link https://www.familyid.com/
east-greenbush-central-school- district-athletics and following these steps: - Select the appropriate form under the word Programs.
- Next click on the blue Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create Account/Log In blue buttons. Click Create Account.
- Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner first and last names (parent/guardian), email address and password. Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service. Click Create Account.
- You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account.
- Click on the link in your activation email, which will log you into FamilyID.
- Once in the appropriate form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red * are required to have an answer.
- Click the Save & Continue button when your form is complete.
- Review your summary.
- Click the Submit button. After selecting “Submit” the registration will be complete.
- A parent/guardian should register their child by clicking on this link https://www.familyid.com/
At any time you may log in to FamilyID to update your information and to check your registration(s). To view a completed registration, select the “Registration” tab on the blue bar.
Health Requirements for Athletics
All students who wish to participate in interscholastic athletics must receive approval by the school nurse before they may begin practice. Prior to each season, the parent/guardian must register their child for their desired sport on FamilyID. The parent/guardian will be notified at that time if a physical exam is needed. Your family physician or the school health staff may do annual sports physicals. You are encouraged to have your family physician conduct your child’s sports physical at the time of their annual check-up because they know your child’s health history, and can best evaluate their fitness for sports.
