Howard L. Goff Middle School has been celebrating Black History Month throughout February. The activities were organized by teachers Karen Anderson-Green and Rachel Mathis and meant to recognize the many contributions made by African Americans throughout U.S. history.
East Greenbush Central School District teachers and students made more than 1,000 Valentine’s Day cards that were delivered to local seniors through Meals on Wheels, and hand-delivered to Van Rensselaer Manor, Eddy Hawthorne Ridge, and Evergreen Commons.
Columbia High School senior Jessica Borst has raised more than $7,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year fundraising campaign.
Come into the Chuck E. Cheese in Latham on Friday, February 21 between 3:00-9:00 p.m. and 20% of all sales will be donated to the Genet PTO.
Howard L. Goff Middle School hosted a Snowball Dance for 7th and 8th grade students last Saturday. The event was held in the school gym and cafeteria and sponsored by the Student Council.
