Columbia High School announced an initial schedule for community members to use the track for free this spring. The schedule below includes all weekday availability when high school sports and physical education classes are not in session. It is expected that more dates will become available when the spring sports season concludes.

The East Greenbush Central School District released Episode 10 of its podcast Let’s Learn Together today. In this episode, Superintendent Jeff Simons discusses art with Art Teachers Andrea Neiman and Alison Savoca and three Columbia High School students. Also, we recognize Teacher Appreciation Week, 5th graders share science facts, the staff profile features Teaching Assistant Lois Bleau, we feature the Goff Art Club in the Student Activity Spotlight, and Mr. Simons promotes upcoming school events.

The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Goff Middle School cafeteria. The meeting will begin with a Public Hearing for the Proposed 2024-25 School Budget.

Columbia High School will host the annual District-wide Band Festival on Thursday, May 9 featuring music from all band students in grades 5-12. Food trucks will be selling food starting at 5:00 p.m. in the parking lot and the bands will perform from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the school gym.

The East Greenbush CSD is offering its final Five Hour Pre-Licensing Course of the school year on Monday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 5 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. on both evenings in the Columbia High School library classroom. You must attend both nights.
