Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Students Learn About Sled Dogs and the Iditarod
Red Mill 3rd grade students met a Siberian Husky named Almanzo at school on Tuesday as part of a visit from Run by Dogs, a company that trains and cares for sled dogs. The visit supplemented what students had learned in class about the Iditarod through lessons and reading Stone Fox, a book about a sled dog race.
Columbia Athletics Announces Class of 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees
The Columbia All Sports Club will be hosting the Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration and honoring the Class of 2024 inductees on Friday, May 10. The event will start with a dedication at 4:30 p.m. in the Columbia Athletic Hall of Fame Walkway followed by a reception at 5:30 p.m. at Franklin Terrace in Troy.
Calendar Changes Due to Unused Snow Days
East Greenbush CSD will be closed on the following days due to unused snow days: Thursday, March 28; Monday, April 8; Friday, May 24; and Tuesday, May 28.
11 Students Receive Spotlight on Youth Awards
Eleven students from the East Greenbush Central School District were honored at the Town of East Greenbush Spotlight on Youth Awards ceremony on Wednesday evening at Town Hall. Students were nominated for their volunteerism and exhibiting positive character traits such as kindness, citizenship, respect and responsibility. Congratulations!
Students Create Their Own Artist Trading Cards
Fifth grade students at Bell Top and Donald P. Sutherland Elementary Schools showed off their creativity as they made their own ATCs, or artist trading cards, in art class.
Green Meadow Kindergarten Students Celebrate Chinese New Year
Green Meadow kindergarten students learned about Chinese culture and traditions as they celebrated the Chinese New Year last week.
