During Genet Elementary School’s Veterans Day assembly last month, Superintendent Jeff Simons challenged students in the audience to think about why Veterans Day is an important day to celebrate and to express those thoughts in essays and send them to him. A few weeks later, a stack of essays were delivered to Mr. Simons.
With the help of East Greenbush Kiwanis Club, Columbia Key Club raised $1,080.00 for the pediatric intensive care unit at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center as part of the Bells of Life campaign.
This is a friendly reminder that there is no parking allowed along the curb in the Columbia High School bus loop. This includes during the school day but also for after school events open to the community such as athletic contests and concerts.
Columbia High School celebrated its December Students of the Month on Thursday morning. Each student winner was nominated by a teacher or staff member for various categories such as Academics, Citizenship and Improvement. Congratulations!
