The East Greenbush Central School District Board of Education elected officers for the 2024-25 school year at its organizational meeting on Monday evening. Jesse Temple was elected president (nominated by Michael Buono) and Emily Steinbach was elected vice president (nominated by Mark Mann). Mr. Buono was elected assistant clerk and Michele Skumurski was re-elected as deputy treasurer.
The draft District-wide Safety Plan is now open for public comment for the next 30 days. After this period ends, the plan will be submitted to the Board of Education for their review at the August 21 public meeting.
The internet is still down in the East Greenbush CSD. The service outage occurred due to downed power cables in Colonie. We are unsure of when the service will be restored but one of the technicians told our Technology Department it could be sometime this evening.
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Administration Conference Room, 29 Englewood Ave., East Greenbush, NY 12061. There will be an organizational meeting followed by the regular board meeting. The public may attend the meeting in person or watch the live stream at www.egcsd.org.
