The Columbia PTSO is hosting its 3rd annual Cornhole Tournament on Sunday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. The event will be held at Melvin Roads Post American Legion, 200 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer.

The East Greenbush Central School District is filled with talented students, who not only work hard and achieve in their academics, but excel in extracurricular activities outside of school. One such student is Haylee Johnson ’24 who is a competitive cyclist. She has her sights set on a national championship this season after finishing 5th in 2021, 3rd in 2022 and 2nd in 2023.
Families gathered for a day of fun at the 34th annual Winterfest on Saturday which was hosted at Howard L. Goff Middle School.
This is a friendly reminder that Columbia High School Yearbooks are on sale now! Yearbooks cost $75 +tax. The personalized yearbook deadline is January 31 and all sales close March 1.
The East Greenbush Central School District released Episode 2 of its podcast Let’s Learn Together earlier today. In Episode 2, Superintendent Jeff Simons discusses school safety with three members of our district-wide Health and Safety Committee, students honor Martin Luther King Jr., a new staff profile features the Goff School Safety Supervisors, the district’s medical director Dr. Kevin Albert provides sleep tips, and the Columbia Boys’ Indoor Track Team is highlighted during the Student Activity Spotlight.
All schools and district offices in the East Greenbush CSD will be closed Tuesday, January 16 due to the weather forecast. This will be a traditional snow day with no remote learning.
