Columbia High School’s Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College.
The East Greenbush Central School District officially opened the new Genet Elementary School playground at a ribbon cutting event on Monday after school. Students, staff and families attended the event so they could see the new playground and celebrate this important upgrade to the school campus.
Famous historical and contemporary figures such as Julius Caesar, Leonardo da Vinci, Abraham Lincoln, Jane Goodall and Taylor Swift made appearances at Genet Elementary School last week as 4th grade students portrayed them in the annual Interactive Wax Museum.
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Administration conference room.
Eighth grade students at Howard L. Goff Middle School learned about the history of the Capital Region, and specifically, about the East Greenbush area during class presentations last week from Anna Doren, Director of Education for the Rensselaer County Historical Society.
