The East Greenbush CSD released Episode 5 of its podcast Let’s Learn Together earlier today. In this episode, Superintendent Jeff Simons discusses pre-k, how it benefits children, and how the students spend their day. Also, students share their favorite school meals, our staff profile features DPS Principal Jack Alvey, we share tips for eating healthy, and the Columbia Players are highlighted during the Student Activity Spotlight.
School cafeterias will be serving Chicken Nuggets, Pizza, Toasted Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Soup, Paninis, Salads and more in the month of March!
The Columbia Players will be performing “Beauty and the Beast” the musical on Friday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets cost $15.
The Boys’ Swim Team comprised of CBA, Troy and Columbia finished as the Section 2 Division 1 Runner Up last weekend at Shenendehowa. Columbia merged with CBA and Troy this school year to provide interscholastic swimming opportunities to its students. Columbia’s Andrew Orcutt ’25, a member of the 200 Free Relay team, has qualified for the state championships.
Columbia High School students learned about important health and wellness topics last week as part of Health Awareness Week. They attended presentations – led by doctors, trainers and law enforcement agents – in the school auditorium during their Physical Education classes.
