Columbia High School seniors Caitlin Weinheimer ’24 and Aurora Forte ’24 were named Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, at the Columbia High School Awards on Thursday evening. Congratulations!
Six graduating seniors from Columbia High School earned the NYS Seal of Biliteracy, becoming the first students in the East Greenbush Central School District to earn this distinction. Rachel Clarke ’24, Molly Graiff ’24, Luke Savage ’24, Ben Strodl ’24, Drea VanVranken ’24 and Caitlin Weinheimer ’24 will receive an official seal from the New York State Department of Education to be placed directly on their diplomas as well as a medallion to wear at graduation. Congratulations!
Columbia High School senior Nicholas Rizzo ’24 has qualified for the Tier One World Ninja League Championships which will be held on the weekend of June 21 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Congratulations and best of luck!
Columbia High School sophomore Ava Weiss ’26 won a state championship in the 400m hurdles at the NYSPHSAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Syracuse. She followed that by winning a Federation Championship in the 400m hurdles on Saturday, and lowering her own school record time to 60.63. Congratulations!
