The 34th annual Winterfest will be returning the weekend of January 12-14. Events include a 6th Grade Activity Night on Friday, January 12, a full day of family friendly events and programs on Saturday, January 13 at Howard L. Goff Middle School, and a Rock N’ Bowl on Sunday, January 14 at East Greenbush Bowling Center.
The East Greenbush CSD launched a podcast on Tuesday, creating another way for the school community to learn about school news and important information. The podcast is titled Let’s Learn Together and it is hosted by Superintendent Jeff Simons.
Parents and guardians of current 5th grade students can order 5th Grade Graduation Lawn Signs to celebrate their student this spring. Each lawn sign is 18″ x 24″ and includes the student’s name and school photo. Proceeds of the sale will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
School cafeterias will be serving Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Homemade Chili, Macaroni & Cheese, Pizza, Paninis, Salads and more in the month of January!
All schools will be closed for Holiday Recess starting Monday, December 25 through Monday, January 1. Happy Holidays!
Columbia’s Freshmen Class hosted a “Parents’ Night Out” on Saturday evening where Columbia students watched elementary aged kids at the school, while the parents were able to have a kid-free night and do some holiday shopping. The children played games made arts and crafts, conducted science experiments, ate pizza for dinner, and ended the night in the auditorium watching the movie Spy Kids.
