Goff Students Spin Records in Music Class

On a cold and rainy Monday morning, the Goff Jazz Band filled the Empire State Plaza concourse with warmth and holiday spirit as they played a free concert for parents, state workers and visitors. Under the direction of music teacher David Bresnahan, the students performed nearly 20 songs as a full band and smaller ensembles, including holiday favorites such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Hark the Herald.
Students from around the East Greenbush Central School District will be performing at winter concerts during December and January. We invite you to come out and show your support for these talented musicians!
Columbia Chamber Orchestra students attended a performance of the New York Philharmonic and toured Lincoln Center venues as part of a field trip to New York City earlier this month.
Twenty-three Goff Middle School music students were selected to participate in the Rensselaer County School Music Association’s Fall All County Festival. 6th Grade Chorus students sang in the Elementary Chorus and 7th and 8th Grade Band students played in the Junior Band. Congratulations!
The East Greenbush CSD has moved the dates for Columbia and Goff Parent Conferences and the Columbia Pops Concert for Orchestra in March 2024.
