The East Greenbush Education Foundation is hosting its 39th Annual Gala on Friday, March 28 at Birch Hill in Castleton-on-Hudson. The event will celebrate inductees into the Columbia High School Hall of Fame and raise funds for scholarships, grants and enrichment programs for students in the East Greenbush Central School District.

EGTA Sends Valentine’s Day Cards to Local Seniors

The East Greenbush Teachers Association completed its annual Valentine drive for local senior citizens this past week. They delivered 1,000 Valentine cards made by students and EGTA members to local seniors at Rosewood and Evergreen Commons, and to the Rensselaer County Department for the Aging.

Winter Recess

All schools will be closed for Winter Recess starting Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21. Schools will reopen on Monday, February 24.

2-Hour Delay – Thursday, February 13

The East Greenbush CSD will open with a 2-hour delay on Thursday, February 13.

Wear Red Day for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – February 27

Columbia High School students on the Columbia Kicks Cancer team have organized a Wear Red Day in the East Greenbush Central School District for Thursday, February 27 to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students and staff who would like to participate should wear red to school on that day and bring in a $1 donation.
