All schools will be closed for Holiday Recess from Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1. Schools will re-open on Thursday, January 2.
Students to Perform on CBS6’s “Melodies of Christmas”
Nine district students will be performing on the CBS6 production of “Melodies of Christmas” on December 24 and 25.
Capital Roots Offers Carrot Tasting at Goff Middle School
Students at Howard L. Goff Middle School were able to taste different types of locally grown carrots and learn about their nutritional benefits on Wednesday in the school cafeteria.
Students Complete Egg-cellent Engineering Lesson
Columbia High School students tested out their engineering skills earlier this month when they dropped eggs from the lobby balcony. The students worked in groups to build a cradle out of pipe cleaners, paper plates, printer paper, toothpicks, and string that would protect an egg.
Green Meadow Celebrates Holidays From Around the World
Green Meadow third graders and their family members enjoyed a festive buffet on Wednesday morning as they celebrated Holidays Around the World in the school cafeteria. There was an assortment of food and desserts for everyone to try, such as French Canadian Crepes, Irish Apple Cake and British Jaffa Cakes.
