The CHS Art club has been meeting since September and they have been busy ever since creating art work for the small display case by the Main Lobby. In October, they celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in December they displayed Rainbow Scratch art inspired by quotes that promote “Love and Happiness.”

In the absence of the traditional district-wide Art Show, which had been scheduled for May 14, the East Greenbush Central School District art teachers created an “Art Show Alternative” video to showcase student artwork from this year.

Columbia High School students are expressing their thoughts and feelings through their Photography class during the extended school closing. The students are taking photos and submitting them daily with a short statement related to the images.

Seven Columbia High School students had their artwork accepted to the annual High School Regional exhibition at the Opalka Gallery in Albany. During the awards ceremony and reception, Lillia Walsh’s drawing “Family Values” received an Honorable Mention. Congratulations!
