The proposed school budget for 2022-23 maintains all programs and services with no tax increase for the second year in a row. District residents will vote on the budget on Tuesday, May 17.
The East Greenbush Central School District presented its preliminary school budget for 2022-23 at Wednesday evening’s Board of Education meeting in the Bell Top Elementary School gymnasium. The preliminary budget estimate is $106,055,249, which carries a tax levy increase of 2.52%. However, the tax levy increase is expected to be lowered as district administrators continue to reduce expenses as part of the budget planning process.
All members of the community are invited to learn more about the 2022-23 proposed school budget by attending one of the following budget review sessions. The budget review sessions will be offered during public Board of Education meetings, which are held in person and live streamed. Additional budget meetings are being scheduled for later this spring.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, East Greenbush CSD residents will vote on the $103.5 million proposed school budget for the 2021-22 school year. The proposed budget would maintain all current programs and has no tax increase.
The East Greenbush CSD and Elementary PTOs hosted a virtual School Budget Presentation on Tuesday evening. The presentation was live streamed so parents could learn more about the upcoming Budget Vote and Board Election scheduled for Tuesday, May 18.
