Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Voters Approve 2023-24 School Budget

East Greenbush Central School District residents approved the proposed school budget for 2023-24 earlier today. The $108 million budget will maintain programs and services and it includes staffing additions, technology upgrades, facility improvements and funding to continue the Pre-K Program. Additionally, voters approved the purchase of eight school buses from the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund.

2023-24 School Budget Maintains Programs and Stays Well Below Tax Cap; Goes to Vote on May 16

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a school budget for 2023-24 that maintains all programs and services with a 0.5% tax levy increase. The proposed budget, totaling $108,812,882, which was adopted by the Board of Education at Tuesday evening’s public meeting, would include staffing additions, technology upgrades, facility improvements and funding to continue the Pre-K Program. Residents will vote on the proposed school budget on Tuesday, May 16.

East Greenbush CSD Presents Updated Preliminary School Budget for 2023-24

The East Greenbush CSD presented an updated version of its preliminary school budget for 2023-24 at Wednesday evening’s Board of Education meeting in the Green Meadow gymnasium. The school budget total was decreased to $108,812,882 and the tax levy increase was cut in half from 1.0% to 0.5%. The preliminary budget maintains all current programs and services, and includes staffing additions, technology upgrades, facility improvements and funding to continue the Pre-K Program.
