Red Mill 3rd grade students met a Siberian Husky named Almanzo at school on Tuesday as part of a visit from Run by Dogs, a company that trains and cares for sled dogs. The visit supplemented what students had learned in class about the Iditarod through lessons and reading Stone Fox, a book about a sled dog race.
The Columbia All Sports Club will be hosting the Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration and honoring the Class of 2024 inductees on Friday, May 10. The event will start with a dedication at 4:30 p.m. in the Columbia Athletic Hall of Fame Walkway followed by a reception at 5:30 p.m. at Franklin Terrace in Troy.

Eleven students from the East Greenbush Central School District were honored at the Town of East Greenbush Spotlight on Youth Awards ceremony on Wednesday evening at Town Hall.
