After receiving an assessment from the towns on the road conditions, the East Greenbush CSD will open with a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, March 15.

All schools and district offices in the East Greenbush CSD will be closed Tuesday, March 14 due to the weather forecast. This will be a traditional snow day with no remote learning. All after school activities are canceled.
Special transportation requests for next school year, including to private schools and daycare or alternate locations, are due to the Transportation Department by April 1.
Fifth grade students from across the East Greenbush Central School District learned about the Holocaust from two guest speakers during a virtual presentation last week. The presentation featured Leon and Marsha Halpert, who are the parents-in-law of Genet 5th grade teacher Daniel Scher, and who are both children of Holocaust survivors.
For most students, attending school every day is not an issue. But for some students, chronic absenteeism is affecting their learning and development. Each of the schools in the East Greenbush CSD are working to improve attendance through a variety of strategies.
Students and staff throughout the East Greenbush Central School District cracked open their books today and began reading “The Elephant in the Room” as part of the One District, One Community, One Book program. The literacy initiative, which was developed by the district’s Committee to Promote Global Education, will act as a book club for the school district and beyond.
