The East Greenbush Central School District is now accepting applications for its 2024-25 Pre-K Program for eligible four-year-old children.

Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School hosted a virtual guest author visit on Monday afternoon with children’s book author and illustrator Amber Owen, who writes under the pen name Z.B. Asterplume. Ms. Owen discussed her book “Sometimes, A Tiger,” as well as writing, illustrating, and publishing.
Students celebrated winter at the District-wide Choral Festival on Thursday morning with a set list devoted to the season. Each school’s chorus performed in the Columbia High School auditorium under the direction of their music teacher with songs such as “Winter Fantasy,” “Snow Day,” and “Winter With You.”
School cafeterias will be serving Burgers, Chicken Tenders, Pasta with Meatballs, Pizza, Paninis, Salads and more in the month of February!
The East Greenbush CSD released Episode 3 of its podcast Let’s Learn Together earlier today. In Episode 3, Superintendent Jeff Simons discusses reading instruction with MTSS and ELA Coordinator Lisa Mahar, students tell jokes, the staff profile features Intervention Specialist Joy Lemka, School Librarian Peg O’Connor provides reading tips, and GMTV is highlighted during the Student Activity Spotlight.
The East Greenbush CSD will open with a 2-hour delay on Monday, January 29 due to the road conditions.
