Superintendent Jeff Simons provides information about the district-wide Secured Lockout on Tuesday, September 12.
The district-wide Secured Lockout from earlier this week has been lifted as of Thursday morning. In consultation with law enforcement, we believe it is now safe to permit outdoor activities during the school day including physical education and recess. All schools will continue enhanced visitor protocols, limiting visitors from entering schools.
Superintendent Jeff Simons provides information about the district-wide Secured Lockout initiated on Monday, September 11.
The East Greenbush CSD initiated a district-wide Secured Lockout at approximately 8:05 a.m. on Monday morning in response to an unspecified threat left on a voicemail at Howard L. Goff Middle School overnight, which was retrieved this morning. Police have arrived at all schools to facilitate students entering. Parents/guardians who drop off their children may do so at all schools. Police will stay at all East Greenbush CSD schools for the rest of the day. The district remains in a Secured Lockout.
