Educators Recognized for Completing Mentorship Program

Two dozen teachers were recognized at the public Board of Education meeting on Wednesday evening for participating in the East Greenbush Central School District’s educator mentor program. The program pairs a new teacher with an experienced teacher in their same school or subject area to provide support and coaching throughout the school year to help ensure their success.

East Greenbush CSD Announces Half Days for June 18 and 20 Due to Extreme Heat in Weather Forecast

In anticipation of extreme heat next week and its impact on health and safety in schools, the East Greenbush Central School District will have half days for grades PK-8 on Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20. Schools are closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth and there is already a half day scheduled for Friday, June 21.

All of the fifth graders from the East Greenbush CSD elementary schools gathered at Schodack Island State Park in Castleton on Monday for the annual 5th Grade Mixer. It was an opportunity to meet students from other schools and get to know each other before they start 6th grade at Howard L. Goff Middle School in September.

Genet Elementary School hosted its annual Fun Day on Wednesday with students participating in games and activities throughout the school day. Students rotated through stations that included relay races, kickball, pickleball, badminton, cornhole, kan jam, water balloon toss and parachute games.
