For the 21st consecutive year, the East Greenbush Central School District has received the School Safety Excellence Award from Utica National Insurance Group. The district received the Titanium with Honors level designation this year, the highest level available, which includes a $500 check to be used for safety expenses.
The power is still out at Goff Middle School and the Transportation Center. Based on our conversations with National Grid and the outage’s impact on school operations including lunch service, Goff students will be dismissed today at 10:40 a.m. Students will be transported home by school bus to their emergency dismissal locations.
Special transportation requests for next school year, including to private schools and daycare or alternate locations, are due to the Transportation Department by April 1, 2024.
The East Greenbush Central School District is launching a new student ID card system for school buses to track ridership and improve safety. The program is called Student Finder and it will start on Monday, November 13.
All district schools will dismiss 15 minutes early on Thursday, November 9 for a state-mandated Emergency Go Home Drill. All students will be dismissed to the location parents have indicated on the Student Verification Form in case of an emergency closing.
