The East Greenbush school community started the holiday season by giving back to local charities and other worthy causes ahead of Thanksgiving. Thank you to all of the students, families and staff who supported these efforts!
East Greenbush Central School District’s Head Mechanic Mark Noeth was appointed as the new supervisor of the Transportation Department at the Board of Education meeting on October 16. He will start his new position on December 23, succeeding MaryAnn Belmont who is retiring. We sat down with Mr. Noeth recently to discuss his new role and responsibilities.
All district schools will dismiss 15 minutes early on Friday, November 8 for a state-mandated Emergency Go Home Drill. Students will be dismissed to the location parents have indicated on the Student Verification Form in case of an emergency closing.
Excitement was in the air on Thursday as students returned to school in the East Greenbush Central School District. They bounded off school buses, hugged their friends and waved to favorite teachers on their way into school.
East Greenbush Central School District and the East Greenbush Police Department are launching ‘Operation Red Lights’ to remind all motorists to exercise caution around school buses as the new school year begins.
