Career and Technical Education (CTE) offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths while building real-world skills. Classes focus on business, technology and skilled trades. Students completing CTE pathways may be prepared for employment immediately after high school.
Business
Columbia High School offers three different business pathways for students to earn a Career and Technical Education Endorsement on their diplomas.

Students Can expect to learn:

Technical Education
Technical education classes are offered to students through Questar III BOCES. Through half-day, hands-on learning experiences, students explore career interests while developing specialized skills and earning industry-recognized credentials. The curriculum emphasizes creative problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and leadership—skills essential for success in both postsecondary education and the modern workforce.
